I have laid before the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury Mr Ellist's letter of 20th Ultimo, with enclosures, and Their Lordships desire me to acquaint you, for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon, that, under the circumstances represented by the Governor of Hong Kong, They will not object to the allowance in the Hong Kong Account for the year 1864 of the double issue of Salary in the case of W. Baker Mr Templer in respect to the office of Superintendent of the Convict Hulk.
